Information Received by Atlas Marine

Atlas Marine collects personal information if you voluntarily choose to share such information. You may browse the Site without disclosing any personal information. However, to take advantage of particular opportunities provided through the Service, we may require that you furnish personal information for:

We may maintain pages for Atlas Marine on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other third party platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider’s privacy policy will apply to your interactions and their collection, use and processing of your personal information. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Usage Information, IP Address and other information. Atlas Marine, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and activity occurring on or through the Services, using various technologies. The information that may be collected automatically includes your computer or mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, device identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple ID for Advertising), browser type, screen resolution, the website you visited before browsing to our website, general location information such as city, state or geographic area; and information about your use of and actions on the Services, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, length of access, and Internet Protocol Address (“IP address”). The IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider. This number is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along with the time of your visit(s) and the pages you visited. We, our service providers and/or our business partners may use IP Addresses to monitor locations from which Users navigate the Site and for fraud prevention. Our service providers and business partners also may collect this type of information over time and across third-party websites and mobile applications.
We, our service providers, and our business partners may collect and store certain data about the use of the Services on an aggregate and/or anonymous basis. This information may be non-identifying or may be associated with you. Whenever we associate usage information with your personal information, we will treat it as personal information.
In addition to collecting general location information, tracking information, such as geographic areas, is collected as you navigate through our Services and/or use the mobile application. We collect this information for various purposes, including to provide you with support, to notify carriers as soon as shipments are available nearby, to keep shippers or consignees informed of arrival times, to help dispatchers or shippers know where drivers are headed, to enhance our Services, and for our internal business purposes.
Cookies and Other Technologies. Like many websites, we may use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a data file placed on a device when it is used to access the Services. A Flash cookie is a data file placed on a device via the Adobe Flash plug-in that may be built-in to or downloaded by you to your Device. Cookies and Flash Cookies may be used for many purposes, including, but not limited to, remembering you and your preferences and tracking your visits to our web pages.
Cookies work by assigning a number to the user that has no meaning outside of the assigning web site. Driver Registration and Qualification Information. If you are a carrier or an employee of a carrier (i.e., a driver), we may need additional information before adding you to the Services, including, but not limited to, your driver’s license information, social security number, DOT or MC number, certificates of insurance, copy of ICC/DOT authority, W-9 forms, and safety documentation.
Shipment and Delivery Information. If you are an employee of a shipper, we may need additional information to manage the shipment and ensure it arrives at its destination. This may include consignee information the shipper provides to us, which we use solely for the purposes for which the shipper has disclosed. We generally receive consignee information from the shipper, and, if so, rely on the shipper’s assertion that any consignee personal information has been collected in compliance with applicable law and the shipper has the right to disclose this information.
